Boy Problems
Boy Problems were another noodly, colorful screamo band out of Philly, but they are no less unique, if not more. Crafted from members of past and present bands such as Storm The Bastille, Boys And Sex, Cassilis, Snowing, Make Me, Harrison Bergeron, Street Smart Cyclist, The Lady Is Not For Burning, and Shitty Knees, you should have clicked the download link by now. Boy Problems sufficiently began where Make Me left off. They've only released (as far as i know) a tour tape and a(n awesome) four way split with Lautrec, The Reptilian, and Osceola. Download everything.

David Dondero/Mischief Brew "Two Boxcars" Split
I know I'm behind in the times and David Dondero has released A Pre-existing Condition and whatever but I recently came across this amazing split and can't stop listening to it. Seeing one of the two names on this should be enough to send you to your local internet search engine. It starts out with a man and his daughter's lifeless corpse in an ice cooler going to the Brownsville Assembly in search of false hope in Dondero's "The Brownsville Revival", a slightly varied version from the "South Of The South" one with some added piano thing tracks or whatever. Erik Petersen (Mischief Brew)'s two begin with a tired alternative to traditional bullshit folk-punk songs in which he emphasizes his hatred for these anti-war anthems. The second, "Goodbye Under God", is a response to the dated controversy of the "under god" line in the pledge. Don't get me wrong, I fucking love David Dondero and you should definitely go out and buy his shit but I just think that this is the best thing I've heard from Mischief Brew yet.

Philly Invades Baltimore Fest 2!
All your favorite bands from middle of nowhere Pennsylvania playing at Charm City Art Space in Baltimore! If you were to go to Baltimore for any reason, this would be it. Theres not much else to say, just read the flyer. Hopefully I'll be there if I can, but if not I'll prolly go see Pygmy Lush in Brooklyn with Des Ark. So if you can't make it, all is not lost.

Laurel
Baltimore area emo-ey dudes Laurel definitely got me at first listen. Sorta like fuzzier Algernon Cadwallader and this shits fuckin catchy. If your into poppy emo shit from Baltimore and Lehigh Valley and shit than this is for you (though you prolly already know from the first sentence of this post). I think they're broken up now but they have a split with fellow Baltimorians Let's and two demos, though i tend to favor their split tracks. Get on that shit.
